Quick question. I'm setting up my ASUS ROG Strix X670E-E Gaming. The MOBO has 2 4+4 connectors. I have an MSI ATX 3.0 PSU with two sections: CPU & PCI-E. I'm unsure if I should use the top CPU & PCI-E row or if I need to place the CPU on both the top and bottom (the left side). I think I should use the one labeled CPU in each row.

It can be done either way! You have the option to use the two highest ports for the EPS connectors or the two lowest. The main point is how you handle the cable organization. If I were advising, I'd keep the top row solely for EPS and let the 24-pin main connector assist in a cleaner cable layout.

I'm receiving varied responses. Some suggest using the PCIe side on the top row might damage it, while others think using the left side—CPU on top and CPU on bottom—could work. However, MSI's details aren't very clear.

The documentation specifies CPU & PCI-E compatibility. All eight-pin connectors on the power supply match the same pin configuration and are suitable for both CPU and PCI-E devices.
