8700k 5ghz cache 4.71.32v delidded h100i platinum cooler reaching 80°C on the hottest core during AIDA64 and Cinebench REE. Liquid temperature is 32°C with fans at 2000rpm. CPU runs at max around 72°C, not sure why temperatures are so high now. Ambient is 25°C. Alternatively, I can try 4.7ghz cache 4.3 at 1.2v, temps only reach 65°C—just a 15°C difference for such a small voltage increase. Seems unusual or possibly normal?

Delid was completed 5 years prior with a paste job on the CPU and cooler 1 year back.

When one central area stands out much more than others, replacing the paste could be beneficial. This spot experiences the greatest stress there. While the surrounding temperatures aren't extreme, the variations in core temperature seem unusual.

Only one main unit runs significantly below the rest—80°C is the peak, while the others sit near 78-79°C. The single unit at 72°C could be the best option to upgrade?

It's been five years now... typically a single core runs hotter rather than having one that's cold and another that's fine. What materials are applied beneath and above it?

It wouldn't be worthwhile if the LM wasn't moved and the plate remains unchanged; it's unclear if a reply was sent. However, the mounting pressure might be the issue.
