Hello everyone. I just installed a new PC but the CPU is overheating a lot… really bad.
CPU model: I9-14900KF
GPU: Radeon RX 7900 XTX
RAM: 64GB DDR5-6000 (2x32GB)
Case: Hyte Y70 Touch Infinite
CPU cooler: Arctic Cooling Alpine 23
It idles around 85 degrees and turns off the whole system if I even open a game.
I can use Chrome but it’s extremely slow. Around 90 degrees Celsius just browsing Chrome.

Welcome to the forums, new member! Your CPU is an I9-14900KF and your cooler is an Arctic Cooling Alpine 23. It looks like you might need a more powerful air cooler with better airflow or a larger 360mm AIO with a thicker radiator.

If you're using air cooling instead of liquid systems, consider Thermalright coolers:-
https://www.amazon.com/Thermalright-Phan...B0BNDTJVPL
I appreciate how Amazon refers to Technilogy in the ad.
The i9-14900KF has a base TDP (PL1) of 125W and a maximum turbo TDP (PL2) of 253W.
https://www.techreviewer.com/tech-specs/...900kf-tdp/
Your small Arctic Cooling Alpine 23 should work fine up to about 50W, which explains why the i9-14900KF tends to overheat.

Not great at all! Do you have any ideas for a fresh cooler?

Lately I upgraded my computer but things went wrong. As shown in a previous post I made, my i9-14900k was using the incorrect cooler. I also damaged the GPU by installing it incorrectly. All systems failed so I’m starting fresh with a new setup.
The i9-14900k still works. I can use this one.
The Radeon RX 7900 XTX is bent and has some scratches. I can exchange it for a refund and get a replacement.
I need a new case, GPU, cooler, and RAM. Everything else I can salvage from the old build.

You can't simply purchase any inexpensive cooler and assume it will function. The 14900k is one of the toughest CPUs to cool due to its high TDP. Your case accommodates a 360mm radiator, which would be ideal if I were you.
