Hello! Your system looks well-optimized with the new Ryzen 9 and cooler. The hot exhaust and case sounds normal for such a powerful setup. Regarding your BIOS warning, it’s possible the fan speed or airflow isn’t optimal—check if the fans are properly aligned and clean them if needed. Since you’re using an MSI B550M motherboard, ensure it supports the cooler you added. If the warning persists, consider testing with a different cooler or adjusting fan settings in BIOS. Your GPU placement relative to the cooler seems fine unless there’s dust buildup. No need to worry about GPU proximity unless you notice performance drops.

Usually indicates insufficient mounting pressure or thermal paste. I’ll take the cooler out and reattach it to verify your paste job and pressure are correct.

your gpu and cpu cooler perform well at that distance. For CPU temperatures, consider installing cinebench r23 and hwinfo64 or using us hwinfo to monitor them during a run. Alternatively, install msi afterburner with rivatuner to view your cpu usage and temperatures while gaming.

Thanks for your prompt reply! I also removed the CPU cooler, took off the thermal paste, and reapplied it more thoroughly on both sides. I’m planning to try it again to check if it resolves the issue. If it still gets hot, it might be something other than the cooling components.

You secure the cooler by applying pressure until the screws reach their limit and don’t move further. These Noctua units include springs in their mounting screws which prevent excessive tightening, ensuring the right pressure is maintained. Rushing to tighten until they stop could mean you’re missing the optimal mounting force. Make sure the pressure matches what’s recommended if you used the correct thermal paste. A warning from the computer about CPU overheating before entering BIOS usually points to a cooler problem, often related to poor contact.

We need to clarify the specific temperatures in question—CPU and GPU readings during load or gaming sessions.

I plan to remount tomorrow morning since I intend to play Valorant. After restarting my PC, before the MSI screen shows up, I expect to see the warning about CPU overheating and whether the cooler is properly installed.

I could only view the temperatures after completing a game, then I restarted my computer and it displayed CPU temperatures in the BIOS at 78°C.

Yes, that information is included in the bios.
