CPU Overheating
CPU Overheating
I understand there are others facing CPU overheating issues, though I haven’t encountered this issue before. My system uses an i7 13700KF with idle temperatures around 40°C. I’m using a Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 cooler, but once games like Valorant or Overwatch launch, it quickly reaches 100°C. I’ve removed the cooler, cleaned old thermal paste, applied new paste, adjusted fan curves, updated drivers and Windows, and even performed a clean boot. Since Vanguard Anti-Cheat has caused problems for others, I’m running out of ideas but can’t play certain titles without it overheating instantly. My PF was installed in January, and this problem started suddenly.
Zen4 and most modern Intel CPUs beyond the 9th generation strive for maximum performance without overheating. It means they run hotter rather than overheating. As long as your system doesn’t crash suddenly or drop below its normal speed, everything looks fine.
I've been running NZXT Cam since the PC was assembled. It hasn't ever shown temperatures above 74°C.
Yes, it works. Your Corsair 4000D has three Lian Li fans: two at the front, one at the top, and one at the back.
Using DDU to remove graphics card drivers can ease overheating issues on a CPU by reducing power consumption and eliminating unnecessary load from the system.
Do you know anything related to what I'm discussing? DDU is short for Display Driver Uninstaller. It mainly removes audio drivers besides graphics card ones. Updating or reverting drivers won't fix a CPU overheating because of its boost mode (which can be adjusted in BIOS).
