HWinfo provides an RPM figure, but the real clue lies in sensing vibrations or noticing changes in block and hoses when water flows. Many pumps also produce a higher-pitched whirring or whine that’s audible up close. Depending on the temperature, you might detect variations in temperatures between the hoses, though this should be minimal if the pump runs at high RPM.
They've also mentioned checking both hoses beforehand. If one feels warmer than the other, it might indicate the pump is malfunctioning or operating slowly.
I checked how it performed under test conditions. According to HWInfo, the RPMs reflect the current state. Since the pump is still active but temperatures remain high, it might mean the AIO has issues allowing coolant flow or the CPU is experiencing abnormal stress.
It's around 600 RPM, and I'm using fancontrol to manage it. The setting is at 60% capacity.
I don't know much about your AIO, but based on Arctic's specifications the pump operates between 800-2000 rpm. At 60% PWM it should already reach 2000 rpm (the curve is detailed in their specs PDF). This suggests something might be incorrect with the pump. See if performance improves at 100% and confirm it's linked to the right header (PWM).
The pump was operating slowly and I've submitted an RMA request. I also purchased a spare AIO for inspection. CPU temperatures remain consistently above 80°C. During typical use—such as playing Valorant at 360 FPS with a fixed frame rate—I never experienced this issue before. Previously, I ran smoothly at 500-600 FPS without any limits, but now it's failing. This shouldn't be normal. My system specs are: motherboard MSI Mag X570 Tomahawk, Wi-Fi PSU Corsair HX1200, AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, GTX 3070 Ti, Trinity OC RAM Corsair Vengeance 3600MHz, 8GB x2, Segate, FireCuda NVMe Gen4 SSD 500GB, Intel Optane 500GB NVMe SSD, Segate Barracuda 1TB HDD, and Antec DF600 Flux AIO with Arctic Liquid Freezer II. Deepcool LT520 case.
Did you recently update the motherboard BIOS, or anything else? Just checking what might have changed here apart from a faulty AIO. Also, did you use the pump header on your motherboard and what is the pump running at with the new AIO?
I refreshed the bios after everything changed. Below are the pump rpms.
