i wanted to inquire about some overclock adjustments and my current configuration. presently my CPU runs at 4.8Mhz, and I've adjusted the voltage to the minimum level, which is 1.266. in black desert online i experience temperatures between 70-85°C, occasionally reaching 89°C as seen in hwmonitor. is that acceptable? regarding a 5MHz target, what voltage should i use?

i only modified the CPU's BIOS settings to the 4.8 clock speed and the voltage. concerning RAM, i have enabled XMP and reduced the voltage from 1.350 to 1.300—should that be sufficient or is it excessive?

my GPU presents the main challenges here; these are the overclock values i currently use:
https://gyazo.com/b70935820207b9df4da300145ec2ad5a
that's the maximum i could achieve, any higher clock speed than that caused crashes in my games? what should i do? i aim for around 2100-2200MHZ if possible.

my friend mentioned running an i7-4790k at 5GHZ with 1.20Voltage—how does he manage that, and why can't i achieve the same? additionally, is it feasible to monitor RAM temperatures?

Well, using MSI afterburner allows you to save a default configuration that functions well in a profile. If it fails, you can adjust it and restore the last successful setting. Then test again at a reduced level until it stabilizes for you. This is the approach I followed.

not every cpu or gpu performs the same. I can't push my cpu beyond 4.6 @ 1.3v, while my gpu only reaches about 100MHZ above the default speed. It has 1800 clock and 3600 turbo, but the cpus with water cooling run at around 75c during gaming, and the gpu's fan speed stays at 75c even when it needs more.

The Paladin shares his experience about CPU and GPU performance. He notes that running at 4.6 @ 1.3v with a GPU boost of around 100MHZ is possible, but under gaming he sees only 75c with the fan adjusting. He mentions being able to push up to 2100-2200MHZ before losing settings, asking if using more than 116% is harmful or if it's safe to stay at 100%. He also asks about recommended core and memory clock speeds.
