I built my first PC recently and I’m looking to boost my CPU speed to 4.5 GHz. The model I have is a Core i5 4690k, and I’m using a Corsair H110i GTX cooler. It runs at around 25°C when idle, but climbs to about 28°C to 30°C under load. I play intense games and want to maximize performance. Could you share the detailed steps for overclocking it to that speed? I’m unsure about the right voltage settings and other important details. Thanks a lot!

It's very straightforward, just find a guide online with a quick search.
I'll briefly outline what you need to do.
Restart your PC and boot into BIOS (usually by pressing f2 or del).
You may need to enter advanced settings and look for 'CPU Ratio'.
Set it to 45 to achieve around 4.5Ghz.
Save your changes and try booting into Windows.
That should be simple. If you're stuck, look up images for reference.

The CPU sits idle at 25°C, but when under load it reaches 28°C to 30°C. I frequently play intense games and need to maximize performance from my CPU. Those temperatures are insufficient even with the stock setup, let alone overclocking with an H110i GTX. Either the readings are inaccurate in the software you use or the CPU isn’t being fully loaded. What is your overclock voltage? Refer to my profile as a reference, using a Noctua NH-D14 air cooler, which is roughly 5°C warmer than the H110i under load. Download a stress test tool such as OCCT or AIDA 64 and run it for several hours.

Warhead0 :
This task is quite straightforward; a quick search should point you in the right direction.
You're aiming to briefly outline the steps needed.

Restart your PC and aim to boot into BIOS (usually by pressing F2 or Del).
You may need to enter advanced settings to adjust 'CPU Ratio'.
Set it to 45 for a 4.5Ghz configuration.
Save your changes and try booting into Windows.
It should be very simple. If you're stuck, look up visuals online.

PC4Lyfe :
What kind of motherboard are you using?
I'm running an MSI SLI Z97S Krait Edition.

This is quite straightforward, and a quick search should help you find a guide.
You should be able to outline your steps simply.
Restart your PC and aim to boot into BIOS (usually by pressing f2 or del).
You may need to enter advanced settings and look for 'CPU Ratio'.
The ratio is likely set to auto, so change it to 45 to reach 4.5Ghz.
Save the changes and try booting into Windows.
It’s really simple. If you’re stuck, look for images or videos online.
You wouldn’t need to adjust the voltage, as most tutorials mention that on YouTube.
