Hey everyone. I've been building PCs for about 15 years. About two days ago I changed my case. The first boot worked perfectly with no issues. Except the RGB fans didn't turn on. I switched them to another header, but my brain didn’t register it at the time. I also forgot the PC was still running. When it shut down, it restarted every two seconds instead of booting. I checked the PSU and GPU, but nothing. I ran a SMOS reset and still didn’t get a boot. Tested the RAM sticks, but nothing. I looked at the motherboard closely and saw the CPU LED lighting up. It looks like either the CPU or the motherboard is dead. The shop says it’s a shop, but they can’t find it. They charge 40 euros per hour. If I need a new CPU or motherboard, I don’t want to spend too much on nothing... Any help would be appreciated.

If it's at a shop they should be able to replace the CPU to check if it's faulty (though this is rare), and then test the motherboard. If you have to pay for either part during testing, it's pointless—consider moving the PC elsewhere.

They don’t have an 8700k (or just 8 gen) or a z370... I believe I’ll ask it again and just check the new motherboard myself.
