currently browsing a mall searching for an AIO fan when I realized I only have CPU_FAN and CPU_OPT. My motherboard is a Matrox Asus TUF Gaming B550M Plus with Wi-Fi 2. I’m wondering if I can connect the pump to the CPU_OPT and the fans to the CPU_Fans.

The instructions provide clear guidance, though they are brief. These parts fit together seamlessly, and the pin arrangement matches precisely.

They're essentially identical in most cases. Some boards feature a pump header with slightly higher amps, though this is mainly relevant for larger custom loop pumps. Just keep in mind that the Asus CPU and CPU OPT headers control PWM together, so running the pump at maximum speed will also drive the CPU header to full speed.
