Read the piece and asked forums to address the confusing take on 4K testing. Opinions? Yes, it’s worth questioning. The idea that 4K requires lower settings isn’t just about Ultra tests—it shows how CPUs handle real-world demands.

Boosting resolution doesn’t suddenly require exponentially more CPU power. Some people may believe otherwise, but you can verify this in games like COD where real-time graphs show CPU usage. Adjusting resolution should not noticeably affect performance, unless you’re already struggling with frame rate. This mindset seems to apply mainly when you’re stuck at around 40 FPS, but it’s not a big deal whether your system is CPU or GPU limited—once things drop, the game just behaves poorly regardless.

Because all the YouTubers out there repeatedly describe bottlenecks in a terrible way, and low is definitely not an exception. Even worse, folks here are repeating incorrect ideas about it. It's a never-ending loop.

It's worth noting that focusing on specific frame rates rather than pushing maximum performance can be beneficial. Many users prefer leveraging upscaling methods such as DLSS, FSR, and XeSS.

I think everyone should attend a few lectures on Amdahl's law because it explains bottlenecks mathematically. It’s not just an observation—it guides engineers in prioritizing improvements for speed.
