Ryzen processors feature 24 PCIe connections. The fourth PCIe port is in the top slot, the fourth M.2 slot is also in the top position, and the chipset can then allocate additional PCIe lanes to peripherals. Each direction will be capped at 4 GB/s, which is more than sufficient for a 10 Gbps network card and other features.

I think it's wise to avoid the 11900K. It's identical to the 11700K but offers a higher boost frequency and some advanced boosting features. Don't spend your money on it.

RAM performance drops after reaching 3800 MHz due to increasing CAS latencies, which maintain the same delay (latency = CL value x 2000 / RAM frequency). Beyond that, improvements become negligible. A 3200 C16 unit matches the latency of a 3600 C18 chip by about 10 nanoseconds. A 4400 C19 offers roughly 8.6 ns, comparable to a 3200 C14 at 8.75 ns. The 5950X remains the best option for consumer CPUs. You might consider Threadripper if you need more cores, but they’re less ideal for gaming as they reduce clock speeds to boost core count. Games tend to process everything at once for one or a few cores, while Threadripper splits tasks across many cores.

I'm looking at a 5950x resolution and wondering if most people overclock it by more than double the 420 rads used with a 3090.
