While scrolling through the bios on my Asus x470-f Mobo, I accidentally pressed the ai tuner and now, no matter what I do, my Ryzen 5 3600 won't boost properly—it's stuck at 3.58. I even tried a CMOS reset, but it didn’t help.

Restart your BIOS by shutting down your power supply unit, removing the small battery from your motherboard, letting it sit for about ten minutes, then reinserting the battery and turning on your system.

Oh, I see! You're expecting a longer wait time and would like a quicker solution. Let me help with that.

High-end motherboards typically include a tangible BIOS reset feature. It's surprising how difficult it seems for companies to implement such a simple fix.

How often I have to reset the CMOS really matters, so I’d be glad to trade in my current setup for a device with a physical button if it were available.

I've checked out Asus's site a bunch of times, but never found anything like it. It's not too pricey, so I might grab it once I have the RX 5700 next year.

The location of the button makes it difficult to reach; you wouldn't be able to press it directly from here.

It's mounted on the IO shield, positioned at the rear of the motherboard alongside other ports. Many affordable boards, such as the B450 Tomahawk Max, include clear CMOS buttons.
