Hello, today I was working on some background tasks like YouTube, and I noticed my PC was making a loud breathing sound. I checked the CPU temperatures, which were around 70 degrees. When I opened Task Manager, it stopped breathing and returned to normal levels. Could anyone explain what’s causing this unusual behavior?

Which processor is being used? Should we check with tools like hwinfo64 or cpu-z instead of Task Manager. Is the cooler properly installed? Make sure the thermal paste is adequate. Did the BIOS get updated?

I updated my bios about a month ago. Initially, core temp was high, but after opening Task Manager it decreased and returned to normal. The CPU remains i7 9700K, and the cooler is properly seated. I've been using this for a year now.

Track your temperatures with hwinfo64, then review CPU usage via Task Manager

Switch the CPU back in. The room temperature is around 31°C, which pushes the CPU temps higher than expected—my setup runs at 38–41°C even with the CPU boosted to 5.0 GHz.

The drop in CPU and temperature after launching Task Manager suggests a hidden malware presence on your device.

Yes, a fresh installation can be beneficial if you're experiencing issues with your current setup.
