CPU Fan Speed Error

My pc has been showing a cpu fan speed error code often, forcing me to enter BIOS and adjust the fan speed to ignore it. I had to repeat this process several times. Every day after work, I would arrive at the BIOS screen displaying a cpu fan speed error.

I could navigate to BIOS without issues until recently. After sleeping my pc for a full day, coming home it wouldn’t turn on. The only way to get it running was to press the clear CMOS button on the motherboard, but even then it would sometimes take me to BIOS or show a black screen. I had to repeatedly power it off and on until it eventually allowed access to BIOS.

Could someone help identify what might be causing this problem?

When sharing a troubleshooting thread, it's standard to provide complete system details. List the specifications as follows:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
Include the PSU age along with its make and model.
BIOS version for your motherboard at this time.

To check the BIOS version, open CPU-Z and look for it in the Mainboard tab.

So it turns out I'm lagging behind on the BIOS updates, and right now I'm running version 1801.

BIOS 2001 seems to include microcode version 0x12F... I'll keep monitoring your processor. If the system becomes unresponsive, consider returning it for repair with Intel if you have a warranty. Running without BIOS version 0x12F might cause the processor to receive excess voltage. Make sure you've reset the CMOS after confirming the BIOS was successfully updated to version 2001.

could this clarify the issue with the CPU fan speed? it didn't turn off while running heavy tasks. you'd see the error message only later, after you put your computer to sleep.

It isn't among the typical signs I'm aware of. Could you confirm if the new BIOS was successfully installed?
