CPU fan increases speed unexpectedly
I'm experiencing an unusual issue with my system. The CPU fan is increasing unexpectedly, but there are no background processes or temperature spikes. It remains cool around 30-35°C. The only noticeable thing is a BIOS temperature fluctuation—temporarily jumping to 63°C for a few seconds before dropping back to 31°C within a second. This behavior doesn't match any known settings for Ryzen 5 5500 (Cooler - Be Quiet Dark Rock 2), B450 Aorus Elite Corsair Vengeance 16GB, 3200MHz (dual channel), Gigabyte RTX 4060, or Pure Power 12M 850W. Could there be a faulty motherboard temperature controller?
If there are actual temperature spikes, it might mean the heat from the CPU isn't being transferred efficiently to the cooler. Perhaps a repaste is needed. I'm not very familiar with Ryzen, but it could be normal. Your cooler fans are likely PWM, but are they configured to PWM in the BIOS instead of DC? Lastly, using Fan Control would likely fix this issue easily.
