CPU experiencing extremely hot readings during minimal activity.
While playing Far Cry 4 at full settings, my Ryzen 5 3600 reached temperatures between 87°C and 98°C even with only 24-30% usage (per MSI Afterburner). Can someone suggest a way to get more CPU usage without raising the temps? The cooler on the chip should help. Thanks to everyone who takes the time to reply.
Use hwinfo or Ryzen Master for Ryzen temperature monitoring. If temperatures are excessive, reinstall the cooler, reapply thermal paste, and verify again.
