I've faced similar challenges with games freezing unexpectedly. After trying standard fixes like updating drivers or cleaning up storage, I explored OCCT to assess my CPU performance. The test consistently reported issues on Physical Core #7 and Logical Cores 14/15 during CPU speed increases. Unfortunately, it didn't clarify the exact nature of these errors. Are there other ways to diagnose or resolve this problem?

What processor is being used? Its age? The motherboard it's connected to? The most recent BIOS version?

If it gives you error codes or anything else along those lines you can try searching them online or on AMD or Intel's site, but realistically not sure if you'll get anywhere with that. If you already replaced the GPU, HDD, and ram, and your CPU has errors then it might just be as simple as RMA'ing it. Technically there's the possibility that your motherboard is at fault, but who can say.

Adjust the CPU voltage and rerun the tests. Thanks for the tip!

The board uses a rog-strix-z790-h motherboard with the latest BIOS. I omitted details about the replacement and persistent issues. I’m considering lowering the processor voltage and testing again. Someone suggested possibly adjusting the P-core settings.

I also attempted undervolting and cutting back power during boost, but it didn’t help. Is this a serious issue or are there other solutions to manage the problems under heavy use?
