It seems the setup might still be functional. The file you shared appears to be a test recording, and after installing the CPU, retention data was recorded successfully.

Poor quality image, hard to describe. Avoid using the flash and steer clear of reflections. Capture it in a place with plenty of natural light.

The plastic cover on the socket is acceptable; focus on avoiding cross-connections or damage to the copper contacts inside. The main concern comes from the pins during chip installation, provided the component fits easily.

It seems the CPU was moved across the socket, but it's hard to confirm from this photo, just like WereCatf mentioned

I’ll take a clearer picture. I attempted to install a faulty chip today for testing, but it didn’t stick when I pulled the arm down, even though it was placed correctly. I suspect this was the defective chip. The person who sold me the CPU and motherboard is the one I bought from. I’m just worried I might have wasted $250 on two pieces of equipment.

The photo seems to indicate some remaining pins in the holes... definitely a clearer view.

The chip I put in seems damaged, though it fits into the socket. There was no resistance when lowering the latch. I’m unsure if it will work with a new one. The seller who gave it to me is now banned and won’t respond. This is my first CPU installation, which is discouraging me from buying used gear. IMG_0701.MOV

I believe this motherboard is faulty. The person who sold me a defective CPU ended up giving me this one instead. It’s a waste of money.
