I'm trying to boost my Ryzen 5 2600 CPU on an ASUS B-450f motherboard from within the ASUS BIOS, but all efforts to adjust the core ratio are dismissed by the system. The BIOS accepts a core ratio input, verifies it during save and reset, yet automatically resets to the previous setting of 38.50. While I can tweak other parameters like BCLK, memory frequency, and voltage, changing the core ratio remains impossible. I've already managed to push my system to 4100 MHz using Ryzen Master, but I need a way to set this in the BIOS as well. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Restart CMOS easily
Follow these steps
Disconnect the power cord from the PSU
Hold the power button for 10-15 seconds
Press and release to return to normal
This should erase any modifications made by Ryzen Master.

If you understand what they are discussing, there could be problems with the Asus bios.
Check the relevant threads on the forum and the official website.
If an update doesn’t resolve the issue, it might be due to how the system was designed for automatic CPU settings.
They may have built in features for software or auto-controlled overclocking instead of manual adjustments.
There are multiple discussions about this topic, but none have been fully resolved yet.
Updating the bios could help, but it depends on whether Asus has addressed the concern in the latest version.
Back up your bios before updating, and consider saving a USB drive to restore it if needed after the update.
Following the installation steps carefully is important.
Reading the available guides can be helpful since I haven’t updated a bios in a long time.

I reset the CMOS and followed the steps you mentioned, but nothing changed. I tried changing the CPU core ratio, saving, and resetting with a message about the change. After rebooting and returning to BIOS, the core ratio went back to its old value.
