I've been using an I3 3220 and it's running smoothly. Recently, I got an i7 2600 from my workplace and thought about upgrading. When trying to boot with the i7, it loads Windows but then restarts unexpectedly—sometimes on the desktop, other times it just loads without issues. The i3 is still fine. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

I've confirmed the CMOS is cleared, but I'm not entirely sure what you're referring to.

It seems to become unstable after installation, but it’s unclear if this is due to a fresh Windows setup.

It's conceivable the issue stems from the power supply's pin count not matching the motherboard's requirements.

It seems the TDP of the i7 2600 is significantly greater than the i3, so perhaps you should consider a different PSU or it might just be a guess.

Hello, sorry to all of you. I’ve discovered the issue is the PSU only provides a 20-pin connector while the motherboard requires a 24-pin one after testing it with my main PC. Thank you for your assistance.
