From this discussion, it seems suitable for a stock cooler, though most people prefer the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo at a comparable cost.

But if the intel cooler is already installed, you don't necessarily have to replace it. It might not affect your setup, though removing the motherboard can be tricky.

I wouldn't choose the stock cooler for OCing, the 212 EVO works well, and at the same price point the Cryorig H7 is also excellent.

I share the same view as Tradesman1, but I suggest the 212 Evo. By the way, Tradesman1, do you recognize the ROG logo? Are you an Asus representative?

No problem, I run my own systems consultancy/business now. All my main rigs are ROG-based. My old two were Rock-based, I only use Asus, the Rock and GB. My previous avatar was GSkill-based, I really like their DRAM.

Not if you intend to overclock by more than one or two percent... I get the feeling that you'd overheat as soon as you had to change the voltage if you use the Intel cooler.

They will work for a very minor OC and often face heavy demands.
