Hello, I hope this helps. Today I replaced my old CPU cooler with a new one and faced some issues. My computer won’t power on or enter BIOS, and the EZ LEDs aren’t working. Here’s what I did: turned off the PSU, removed the old cooler, installed the new one, cleaned the CPU, re-applied paste, and tightened everything. I also tried unplugging and reconnecting the power cables, loosening some screws, and checking RAM and GPU connections. I’m still stuck and looking for more ideas or solutions. Thanks! Smile

Reinstall the CPU a final time. Inspect for bent pins. Press evenly while securing the screws. When taking the cooler off the CPU, use a twisting motion (avoid pulling on the CPU). Ideally, power up the CPU briefly to let the thermal paste soften for easier removal.

After changing the PSU switch, it doesn't affect whether the power cable is plugged in or not.

I like staying connected as it maintains the ground connection.

Turn off the power switch while keeping the cable connected. It maintains ground connection to avoid static buildup but won’t energize any parts.

If the powerled isn't activating (functions separately from CPU, RAM, and GPU), I'd suggest the problem lies in the MB. 1. Verify all grounding screws are secure and tightened properly 2. Make sure no additional stud remains that could create a short circuit (possibly pushed in after applying more pressure with the new cooler mount)

I replaced the CPU, reinstalled the cooler, and it started working. However, the DRAM LED is now red and the RAM ends are also displaying red lights.

Start with one stick at a time. If it doesn’t work, check for bad sticks, a broken pin in the RAM slot, or an incompatible RAM module.
