Considering an I9-9900k on a PCI-e slot opens possibilities for dual processors. Could a CPU be installed on such a card? It might function similarly to a graphics card, but with a CPU instead of a GPU. Share your thoughts or ideas if you have any.

Yes, you could install an entire computer on a PCI-E card, but it would remain limited to that form factor. Putting a CPU there wouldn’t create a true dual-CPU system.

Those Xeon Phi cards function almost like standalone computers, complete with their own memory and processing units. They don’t expand the host PC into a multi-CPU setup; you must upload your desired programs in a manner similar to GPGPU configurations. As I noted earlier, you can’t convert a single CPU system into a multi-CPU system using a PCI-E card.
