I recently acquired this PC with these specifications:
I5 7600k 3.8 Ghz (4.2 Ghz on normal boost)
ROG STRIX ASUS Z270E
GeForce GTX 1060 OC 6GB
2x4 DDR 4 3200 Mhz Corsair Platinum Dominator
CORSAIR RM550x GOLD
COOLERMASTER hyper 212x fan

I chose to use the EZ Wizzard (FROM BIOS) for automatic overclocking. For a couple of months it performed well, keeping temperatures below 70ºC. However, after some time I noticed BSODs and after further research realized I needed to increase the voltage.

The custom settings from auto overclock were adaptive with 1.25v and x45 blocks at 100Mhz. I tried setting them manually with an additional 50mv in adaptive mode, but still experienced BSODs during Cinebench tests. Eventually, I switched to full manual configuration, staying within 1.35v, which resolved the issue.

Now I’m back to the default BIOS settings, but there are problems: my Windows won’t start with the defaults anymore, it crashes on the start screen and even before that (CLOCK WATCHDOG TIME OUT, MACHINE EXCEPTION). After some troubleshooting, I adjusted the adaptive voltage to 1.2v with a +0.05 offset in manual mode. It’s working well so far, even during Cinebench and when checking CPU-Z, and it returns to the default without needing manual voltage changes.

Reminder: at the default settings everything worked. Is there a fix for this issue? Could it be related to my motherboard or processor?

I believe I've found a solution—possibly by accessing the BIOS and turning off Intel's Turbo Boost. It seems to work with default settings now. To confirm, I should try another CPU in my motherboard to verify. If it functions properly, I'll move forward. If you have any other suggestions, let me know. Thank you.
