You have a quad core i7-6700 but it has 8 threads.
Windows sees only threads.
You can see if running with 7 threads makes any difference.
I would be interested to see how many threads GTA5 needs before performance is impacted.

If you do, make sure it is a matching stick of ram, though getting a brand new 2x8gb kit, and removing that single 8gb, would be the best idea.

The problem is I just upgraded to this new GPU . So probably can't buy a new bundle rn but surely later in few months. I've one 8GB 2133 if I buy another same it would be better as my CPU supports 2133 ram afaik

To rewrite this text using different words:

Here’s a revised version of the text with altered phrasing and vocabulary:

“Let’s rephrase this to clarify the situation. Upgrading your computer's memory can be tricky. It’s best to ensure compatibility before adding more RAM. If you’re increasing the total amount, it’s recommended to purchase a matched kit – typically two sticks of equal size and specifications. This minimizes potential issues with voltage, timing speeds (CAS latency), and data transfer rates.

Different manufacturers can produce identical-looking RAM with slightly varying internal components over time. Some motherboards are particularly sensitive to these differences, especially when multiple memory modules are used simultaneously. Adding extra RAM can be successful in approximately 90% of cases, but it’s wise to have a backup plan.

If you need 16GB, the safest approach is to buy a pre-configured kit – two 8GB sticks. Using CPU-Z, determine your existing RAM's speed and timings. This guarantees compatibility. You can then test adding your older 8GB stick. If it functions, you’ve successfully expanded your memory. However, if there’s still no success, consider selling the original RAM or keeping it as a spare part.”

This response aims to provide a new version of the text, focusing on clarity and conciseness while retaining the original meaning.

Here is the rewritten text:

The following information pertains to game optimization. Specifically, graphical enhancements will be most beneficial for fast-paced action games. However, they are less impactful for simulation games (sims), massively multiplayer online role-playing games (MMOs), and strategy titles. A significant upgrade would greatly improve performance in action shooters, but it is unlikely to substantially benefit simulation, MMO, or strategy game genres.

Just make sure it is the same exact model, as what you have, if this is the route you want to take. Mix matched ram can cause stability issues. It is always best to run in matched pairs.

If the 8gb you buy does not play nice, swap it for your friend's 8gb.
