Hey there, just wanted to check in about replacing the wobbly fans. Are they really causing any problems or risks? I noticed nothing unusual—just seeing them look off visually. Could be a simple fix, but it’s good to be sure.
You can swap them if they start behaving poorly, like making noise. They won’t short unless the impeller breaks and parts contact the GPU or motherboard, which is highly improbable. I’ve seen many faulty fans, even those over 10k RPM, and the impeller stayed intact. That’s not a cause for concern—just noise and performance issues. Are you certain they’re wobbling, or did you place the sticker off-center, making it look uneven?
It worked smoothly at 10k rpm. I recall a time when I went into a server room and found the fan inside the housing wasn’t running.
Enermax offered fans with removable impellers for maintenance. Early models from the late 90s featured standard black designs, gaining traction in Asia and common in server setups. These parts were produced by another manufacturer, not the official Enermax brand. Removing the impeller proved more challenging than anticipated.
I'm fairly certain because I own a total of 9 fans, and 6 of them are shaking more after cleaning than the rest. The ones I haven't touched are moving much more smoothly.
