Hello, I recently upgraded my PC with a new CPU, MOBO, and RAM. This happened only twice in two weeks, so I'm still trying to figure out what changed. When I turn on the PC, the CPU and GPU switch between 0-50% usage. Discord and the game launcher load very slowly. The mouse also becomes sluggish. This issue persisted until I powered it off. After restarting, everything worked fine. Here are my specifications:

4070 TI Super
Ryzen 7 9800x3d
I5 12400F
32 Gigs DDR 5 6000 CL36
DDR4 3200 ASUS TUF Gaming B650E-E Wifi
850 PSU

I didn’t perform a fresh installation. Please let me know if you have any suggestions or questions.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
850 PSU is the advertised wattage, but what is the brand, model, and age of your unit?
I just upgraded my PC with a new CPU, MOBO, and RAM.
ASUS TUF Gaming B650E-E Wifi. Was ASUS B660M-A D4.
What BIOS version are you running for your new motherboard?
I haven’t done a fresh installation.
The root cause of your issue is here—once you reinstall the OS, your problems should be fixed.
What cooling solution are you using for the processor? What is the make and model of your case?

Hello!
For the fan, it is a Corsair RM850x full modular atx 80 plus gold. I bought it a year ago
BIOS version is 3.6
To cool my CPU it is a Phantom spirit 120 evo cooler.
Case is Phanteks Eclipse P300A mesh ATX mid tower case.
For a fresh install, do I need my windows key. This PC was originally a prebuilt and I'm having trouble getting my key. I have my back up key found in Registry Editor but I can't grab mine from the command prompt. Thank you in advance
