I put a CPU on the identical motherboard I used before. The resistance when pulling down the retention arm was intense—it really surprised me. Once secured, the clips holding the CPU appeared misaligned, with one side barely touching the chip. I’m starting to think Asus might not have installed it flawlessly, and maybe this board was even more problematic.
