Cox and MoCA share the same coax line.
Cox and MoCA share the same coax line.
Moca would function differently. The cable Co operates between 5 MHz to 950 MHz for services, whereas Docsis 3.1 supports up to 1.2 GHz, which is not commonly used yet. Moca works from 1 GHz to 1.5 GHz, so it won’t clash with Cable or Internet signals. BUT you’ll need a Moca filter to keep A) the signals inside your home and B) reinforce them. Moca was built to share the same wires as cable Co. Deca was meant for Satellite services, which use different frequencies than cable. Both cable and Satellite use separate frequency bands. Using Deca adapters with your cable internet is introducing interference into the Cable system. This approach can prompt your ISP to replace the wire leading to your home.
