Don't give up on CS:GO since there are cheaters in professional events. It doesn't reduce the excitement; it adds a bit more realism. People will always find ways to cheat, whether it's in any game or any country.

The reason I might leave is that CS MM feels like a joke (just a solo queue at DMG level).

I previously competed in CS 1.5/1.6, but that's not happening anymore for Source/GO. Personally, I think the franchise didn't perform well after the Source engine was introduced...
