It needs to operate quietly in the background. You're referring to just recording data without capturing it locally. Afterburner and GPU utilization are the tools I rely on. An oscilloscope would be unnecessary, and connecting to the GPU for readings isn't practical. $$$

Are you referring to it as an OSD? That would mean MSI Afterburner. (This needs a background app, MSI Afterburner and Raviva stats, to function properly.)
