Hey there, I just installed an old Ga H77 DS3H motherboard with a 3rd gen i7 and connected my current Windows 10 PC. The issue is that when I tried to download the driver from the motherboard site, it said it couldn’t find the Qualcomm Atheros AR81 Family Ethernet controller. I searched everywhere but couldn’t locate it for Windows 10. Can someone help? Do you have another Ethernet controller you could use instead? Anyone else have the same motherboard?

Consider using the Windows 7/8 64bit driver for this setup. The board is quite outdated, and it seems there aren’t many direct Win10 drivers available from the OEM manufacturer. You might find some help on forums like Gigabyte’s support page or Ath-Drivers, though I’m not sure how trustworthy those sources are.

Have you attempted to remove your previous drivers? It’s possible there are outdated network drivers left from a controller you removed from the system where you got the HDD. Is the Ethernet controller turned off in your BIOS settings?
