I recently increased my CPU's clock speed and noticed severe lag, but it disappeared after a while and hasn't returned much. Occasionally it comes back. I also have poor internet connections with consistent lag, though usually not as bad. The lag has cleared up and hasn't come back, even after about an hour of steady use. Could this be related to my overclocking? Also, my system stays cool under stress, never exceeding 50°C. My specs are: i5 4690k @4.4ghz, GTX 970, MSI Z97 Gaming 5.

Does the problem occur during online gaming? If yes, it may point to unstable internet. If it happens while idle, the PSU might be struggling with power delivery.
