My setup is a few years old, but my screen is nearly five years old. It's an older 40-inch Philips 4K display that sometimes struggles to stay awake—its screen flickers a bit before settling. The issues appear mainly when scrolling, causing brief artifacts. I haven't noticed them during gaming. They usually last a few seconds then vanish. My Asus Dark Hero MOBO 5950x uses a Liquid Freezer II AIO 3080ti with 128GB Trident RAM and two WD SN850 NVMe drives. All temperatures are within normal ranges. I've replaced and repositioned the GPU, and I've tested various cables from the MOBO to the monitor (DisplayPort 1.4).

consider another display or screen to try, maybe the issue lies with that monitor.

Based on what I remember, it seems RAM might be the issue, and you could try clearing one stick at a time.

I’d begin by suggesting you try using the onboard graphics instead of the GPU, which might indicate a GPU issue. If that doesn’t help, I’d look into your temperatures—good temps would mean moving RAM out and installing an 8GB DDR4 module to test further. If that fails, it could mean your monitor is malfunctioning. I’ll keep monitoring this topic and observe the outcome!

It's possible this could occur.
