Tomorrow I was working with the MSI Afterburner and adjusted the memory and core clock sliders to their maximum settings, but I ended up seeing a grey screen and the computer crashed, forcing me to restart it manually. I’m concerned about whether this might have caused any damage. (Sorry for not being more knowledgeable about this.)

It seems okay then. You can download HW Monitor and have it running quietly in the background to track temperatures while gaming.

Execute a stress test on the GPU using Furmark for approximately 30 minutes. If no issues arise, it's satisfactory. Perform this on the standard configuration!

I checked online and found that Furmark is mainly for monitoring overclocked cards, so I tried it for roughly 10 minutes. The results were 100% GPU usage with a peak temperature near 70 degrees.

You should be ok then. You can download HW Monitor and keep it running in the background to monitor the temperatures during gaming.
