Hello everyone, welcome to the new year! Star Citizen is bringing fresh hope for the gaming scene, and it’s clear this project is outpacing many high-budget titles like GTA V and Destiny. The latest updates and demos show the progress being made. As more players join, do you believe we can match or exceed the development costs of Star Wars: The Old Republic through crowdfunding, and when might that happen? Also, do you think the funds already received are sufficient to fulfill promises and unlock additional content?

It seems progress won't occur unless a significant change happens. Star Citizen has been lagging for a while, with limited efforts in game development. Until we witness major developments and receive promised content, funding growth from donations or pre-orders will remain minimal.

It's slowing down, isn't it? You're aware that 2.6 is now live with fresh content and enhancements, aren't you? Are you keeping up with the updates and testing the releases?

2.6 was the key factor that led to it outperforming Destiny in Dev funds. I was expecting us to hit over $160 million after the 3.0 launch.

Absolutely, it's important to note that a significant portion of both Destiny's and GTA V's budgets went toward marketing. CR isn't allocating funds as heavily for SC, and all development teams are contributing more effort. You wouldn't create or overhaul a game engine this way.

Well, it's actually more about the money that comes in and goes out. I don't think it was 20 million, but closer to 65 million as the original funding target. Most of the rest was used to grow the business, and it makes sense for them to invest heavily since they brought in top talent—imagine how much Mark Hamill would demand. Put it all together, it's a significant amount spent mainly on that. You might be right that some funds stay in the bank, but if they need to fund new projects, they keep a substantial reserve until enough is raised. After all, developers need pay, plus costs like maintenance, rent, and other expenses.

It seems likely to occur, and ultimately we won't reach the final match.
