Could upgrading improve your experience?
Checking current specs: DDR4-2400 CL15-15-15 @1.2V on Ryzen 5 3600. Considering a upgrade to faster RAM with RGB lighting would help visibility. Likely worth swapping in for savings, around £90. Corsair Vengeance is reputable, but dual-channel setup with two 8GB sticks seems optimal. Your motherboard supports B450 Tomahawk.
At 3000MHz, a jump to 3200MHz won’t noticeably help unless you upgrade to 3600MHz RAM. The gap between these frequencies is minimal, so stick with what you have.
I believe you'll see only small improvements in FPS. 3000–3200 or 3600 won't make much difference. If your existing RAM stays steady at 3000, spending on a new one isn't justified. Unless you're planning to switch to RGB memory or add more capacity to free up slots for future expansion.
It seems like the gain would be minimal, so this is mainly about RGB. I'm thinking about whether the extra cost of new RAM is justified by the small improvement in performance, or if it's better to upgrade my old RAM instead. Probably not worth the trouble.
The GPU is working well. Thinking about some RGB improvements at the moment.
If you spot an affordable option that isn’t overpriced because of current circumstances and you’re interested in it, proceed. You might benefit from spending between 2400 to 3200 if your motherboard can handle it. It’s best suited for RGB use, and having two sticks in the right slots will maximize performance.
