You can keep your official GTA 5 copy on the D drive while running mods from a separate C drive. This way, the legitimate game stays untouched and avoids triggering bans during online play.

You can turn off mods for MP using the setting on the mod site.

Receiving an unlicensed version of GTA 5 could mean having the game installed multiple times, which shouldn’t cause any issues.

I understand the situation but I wouldn't feel confident since I might skip disabling the mods—even if I use the mod itself—and I don’t want to go online with them active.
