I'm not sure yet, but there might be new high-end AM4 CPUs coming soon.

It seems uncertain about Zen4. It might be a bit far off, possibly with lots of low-quality parts instead of premium ones.

It's likely the upcoming AMD processors will adopt a different socket design.

I acquired it in 2020 and it's still quick, but I'm up for trying something fresh. I'm counting on AM5 to be a solid upgrade. Otherwise, it's time to go with the Blue team, haha.

I hope they can build it with the extra cache... but I doubt it.

It seems AMD's lead is holding for one generation, right?

They express frustration about the heat generated by these devices. Doubling the cache might not be feasible, which could explain the lower frequency usage. It seems AM5 could be consuming more power, possibly due to improved cache efficiency or a smaller form factor making it easier to manage. This remains just an assumption.

It would probably not exceed a higher temperature since the restriction comes from heat transfer, not the cooler directly. You'd be increasing the surface area for cooling, which usually keeps things stable (or lowers them). Clearly, it would run at a lower frequency like 5800X3D as well.
