Under 4GB of VRAM leads to certain performance drops for specific tasks. Avoid using Vulkan when VRAM is below 4GB. When the number of cores increases again, expect prices under $200 for an 8700k.
I think it’s better to wait for the next update or reveal before making any purchases. This could be a good idea to pass it along to a friend’s nephew and restart from there.
Only if Intel sticks to its usual approach and maintains prices around launch would this happen. Ryzen gradually lowers its prices to fit newer chips, yet the i7 7700K remains prohibitively costly. It outperforms the 8600K in every aspect and costs significantly less.
I believed the 8700k was priced at 369 on Amazon. That’s only $200? Please clarify!
