Your CPU is limiting your performance. Upgrading to an 8700 or 8700k would boost frame rates significantly. For just $365, you won’t face bottlenecks, and in the future you can upgrade to a 3080 without any issues. Ready to take the plunge?

CPU power is closely tied to processing speed. A jump from 3GHz to 4GHz can boost performance by almost 30%.

Issues in Doom FPS stem from insufficient VRAM usage.

If you fired the trigger on an 8700k, you'd receive a 1080 and stop there. The focus isn't on immediate profit—it's about future resale worth when you decide to upgrade later.

Is this actually a feature for Doom? Are you asking if it needs an even number of specs or if it’s simply too weak? According to the minimum requirements, it should be at least 2GB.

I won't try to sell it for a lot. I understand. It might be around $200 to $300 by the end of 2020.

It's wild, right? Even with the latest generation, my 7-year-old CPU still runs games super well—triple digits, all AA settings on, and everything cranked up to maximum in-game options. It’s like it’s a dream!
