Could there be a cause behind this situation?
Hello,
this is my initial visit to the community. I’m really hoping to be welcomed and to connect with everyone!
My first posting will definitely involve asking for assistance with an issue I’ve faced for a long time.
I generally use two monitors: the main one runs at 144Hz from an HP OMEN, while the second is a standard IIYAMA Blackhawk G-Master at 60Hz. This setup helps me handle multiple tasks efficiently—playing games on the first, watching videos or streams on the second, and streaming myself while chatting in the second one.
The game I’m struggling with is League of Legends.
Fast multitasking is key here. Borderless mode works well for both the game and camera movement, but it introduces noticeable lag or stuttering effects. It’s not a major issue, but it bothers me visually.
Switching to Fullscreen mode solves the problem temporarily, though it complicates my workflow. The FPS remains steady at 144, but I still notice a slight jittery feel.
I’ve searched extensively for solutions but haven’t found a clear answer yet.
Any suggestions or feedback from the community would be greatly appreciated!
PC Specifications:
- MOBO: AsRock x570 Phantom Gaming 4
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X
- GPU: MSI RTX 2070 8GB
- RAM: Kingston HyperX 16GB 2400MHz
- HDD: Random 1TB drive (League of Legends installed)
- SSD: Samsung 120GB
My preference leans toward League, though it isn't ideal for running on borderless or similar setups due to compatibility issues. I'm considering turning off VSync and possibly capping the FPS at 144 to reduce stutter. This would cause tearing but could significantly improve frame consistency. I've tried this with Insurgency Sandstorm—it wasn't perfect (limited to 60FPS) but it did help with frame pacing and even tearing in my experience.
