I noticed a joke on Reddit about disconnecting RAM and seeing strange symbols. Does this actually occur? I haven’t found anything similar on YouTube.
I have a partially dead motherboard and a lot of DDR2 RAM. I plan to do this when I get home. I’m concerned the CPU memory controller might fail, but the LGA 775 does have a motherboard memory controller.
I once removed a RAM slot in my computer while playing a game. It just stopped working and the sound began to play "brring".
The idea that the PC master race wants to destroy your hardware while it's running is absurd. It sounds like a misunderstanding or a joke. Reddit might have shared it, but it’s not serious.
