I reported my GPU through warranty/RMA to MSI this morning. I believed the graphical issue might be from my GPU, given its age of nearly three years. After a reboot, the same problem appeared on my spare GPU. It displays a purple vertical bar pattern that prevents image creation. Removing the HDMI cable from the back resolved it. I’m worried about a monitor fault, especially since I’m unsure if my warranty covers it. Could the HDMI cable be the cause? It seems to disappear once I reconnect it. Thanks for any assistance.

Choose a different cable without hesitation. It's easy to test (provided you have another or can borrow one).

Unfortunately, it isn't easily accessible. Perhaps the best option is to purchase one specifically for this situation.
