They appear very close together. Could the CPU become a bottleneck? The main concern is my motherboard only supports 9th generation, so upgrading the CPU would require a new motherboard as well Sad

( Other important details: 2TB NVMe SSD, 16GB DDR4 at 2666MHz (memory specs aren’t clear), and don’t forget to enable IPL at 1440p)

In today's demanding CPU-intensive games, yes. A 9700k or 9900k would definitely be preferable. I owned a 9900k paired with an RTX 2080 Super, which provided a solid performance.

the chances of a bottleneck exist mainly at 1080p for certain titles, but running at 1440p becomes smooth. any performance issues on 9600k are likely minor and won’t ruin the gaming experience.

I wouldn't recommend upgrading to any 9th generation CPU since they're quite outdated now. For budget players, a 9700k or 9900k would suffice. If you can afford it, I'd suggest upgrading— the 2080ti remains a solid choice and will perform well with a faster processor.
