Could not transition to the new operating system Fedora for Manjaro.
The laptop runs a Microsoft Surface Laptop 3. It originally had Manjaro installed, but later switched to Fedora for important research. I'm trying to revert back to Manjaro, but the screen shows both Manjaro and other OSes. The keyboard and trackpad aren't responding, and external devices aren't connecting either. I've used documentation to try plugging in peripherals, but they don't work. This is new and I'm struggling to fix it. Safe boot is turned off.
Shim (part of GRUB) resolved the secure boot problem. Typically, the installer identifies devices and searches for drivers by examining the Windows partition or another Linux distribution's partition. You might consider installing a different Linux distro, such as Debian, on an external hard drive before setting up Manjaro.
Secure boot is turned off. I had to verify it again. I'll consult Debian. Appreciate the assistance.
Thanks for the assistance. It really functioned well and I feel confident now; I also gained some knowledge.
