Hello i installed risk of rain 2 yesterday and its giving me the error "failed to load dll from the list error code 126". I have tried reinstalling the game, updating drivers, restoring system, doing somethings in CMD. If you have a way to fix it please let me know.

Answer challenging because we lack certainty about the specific DLL being sought. It could simply be a missing or damaged system file. Hopefully, a crash log at that path contains more information: %AppData%\Local/low/Temp\Hopoo Games, LLC\Risk of Rain 2. The classic approach is to try actions like sfc /scannow and share the results. Providing concrete details is usually more helpful than generic suggestions.

I visited the path you mentioned and found three files there. The third file was 65MB, so I need to know where to upload it. I’ll handle that. Regarding the CMD commands, the first one was copying a DLL from C:\Windows\System32, and the second was running sfc /scannow with Player-prev.log and SavesMetadata.json saved.

This message appears repeatedly and seems to indicate a loading issue with a library file. It suggests the file name changes dynamically, which might raise security alerts from antivirus programs. If you have one, consider disabling it temporarily. Otherwise, since Mono is a free alternative to .NET, an update might resolve the problem.
