Yes, it would help. Your GPU wouldn't need to push as hard to achieve higher frame rates. I suggest either letting it run without limits or capping it around about 120 in CSGO. If you notice any frame drops when capped at 60, it will be quite obvious. You can adjust this in the console during gameplay using the cvar "fps_max ###". A value of 0 means unlimited.

No, I don't use any specific program like precisionX for controlling settings.

Welcome to the forums! Keep your own contributions handy for tracking replies. Let's begin with a few questions: -Is your laptop getting too hot? It could be lowering performance to avoid harm. -Are any background programs active? -Have you checked for viruses or performed a hard drive defrag? -Is your mat_queue_mode set? Many games, especially those using the Source engine (like CSGO), depend on consistent frame rates for smooth input processing. Higher FPS generally leads to better input quality. This is why: Players often aim for 150 fps, 200 fps, or even higher in competitive titles such as CSGO, TF2, and other FPS games. This consistency helps maintain steady aiming, irrespective of monitor refresh rates. VSync is typically avoided because it doesn’t prevent screen tearing; limiting FPS is more effective. I thought there might be additional reasons, so here’s a pointless placeholder. Usually I don’t go this deep just to refute someone, but I figured the OP might gain something from the discussion. Going over 60 fps isn’t harmful, so there’s no need to stress about it.
