I was looking at Chinese factory websites for cheap motherboards for a build and I stumbled across the legendary Ubisoft LGA 1155 motherboard. I doubt this is real but if the forum can find anything else about this that would be kind of cool. If any of you guys wants to take a look at it or maybe purchase it here's a link, just scroll down a little and you'll find it. https://www.papachina.com/search/Motherboard

The Ubisoft branding appears to be either digitally altered or added once the product is bought. https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-...-rev-10#ov

This choice reflects the correct alignment with the image, not the heatsink base.

Examine the PCIe slots closely and the A2 and B2 dimming ports. You can observe where they were painted, then disable color channels in the shadows. There is no green spill light nearby (when bright colors are hit, some color reflects off the painted surface, making surrounding objects show a tint that doesn’t exist here), proving it’s a photoshopped image, not real.

Even higher the saturation levels. This board is genuinely impressive—it would have been considered cutting-edge until a generation ago, when the gigabyte sniper line was introduced (they had green accents). Ubi is still a bit disappointing.

It seems identical to the image on the Gigabytes website that Hinjima referenced, except for the logo. It appears they copied the picture and included Ubisoft’s branding, with almost every other detail matching closely—angle, view, quality—making it convincing despite the deceptive nature.

My point wasn't about the board itself, but rather the one presented is altered—like a picture that's been covered up. The images don't match exactly; verify the text on USB connectors and PCIe slots, as the angle is slightly off. It seems to be either A) boards were purchased and photos taken by the seller (possibly for resale) or B) pictures were taken from other sources and altered. The colors look faded, almost like highlighters, especially the green, suggesting they specifically edited that hue for a better visual effect. I also want a clearer representation to show the changes more clearly.

The image from the Gigabytes website appears altered, with the PCIe slots appearing distorted at a angle in the photo, making text hard to read. The branding was likely removed, but overall the content remains consistent. It doesn’t seem overly bright or saturated, just somewhat blurry.

It seems the images aren't altered or suspicious, and the manufacturer shares the same PCB as Gigabyte. Many components come from the same suppliers but are labeled differently for sale. Over-the-counter medicines are a common case of this approach. Still, I'm curious—this whole conversation feels a bit tiresome.
